Lightly... “The fog was where I wanted to be. Halfway down the path you can’t see this house. You’d never know it was here. Or any of the other places down the avenue. I couldn’t see but a few feet ahead. I didn’t meet a soul. Everything looked and sounded unreal. Nothing was what it is. That’s what I wanted—to be alone with myself in another world where truth is untrue and life can hide from itself. Out beyond the harbor, where the road runs along the beach, I even lost the feeling of being on land. The fog and the sea seemed part of each other. It was like walking on the bottom of the sea. As if I had drowned long ago. As if I was the ghost belonging to the fog, and the fog was the ghost of the sea. It felt damned peaceful to be nothing more than a ghost within a ghost.” ― Eugene O'Neill Do you see...? |

Rememberance
❡ And you wait, keep waiting for that one thing
which would infinitely enrich your life:
the powerful, uniquely uncommon,
the awakening of dormant stones,
depths that would reveal you to yourself.
In the dusk you notice the book shelves
with their volumes in gold and in brown;
and you think of far lands you journeyed,
of pictures and of shimmering gowns
worn by women you conquered and lost.
And it comes to you all of a sudden:
That was it!
And you arise, for you are
And you arise, for you are
aware of a year in your distant past
with its fears and events and prayers.
Rainer Maria Rilke
Translated by ⎆ Albert Ernest Flemming

Men

When I was young, I used to
Watch behind the curtains
As men walked up and down the street. Wino men, old men.
Young men sharp as mustard.
See them. Men are always
Going somewhere.
They knew I was there. Fifteen
Years old and starving for them.
Under my window, they would pause,
Their shoulders high like the
Breasts of a young girl,
Jacket tails slapping over
Those behinds,
Men.
One day they hold you in the
Palms of their hands, gentle, as if you
Were the last raw egg in the world. Then
They tighten up. Just a little. The
First squeeze is nice. A quick hug.
Soft into your defenselessness. A little
More. The hurt begins. Wrench out a
Smile that slides around the fear. When the
Air disappears,
Your mind pops, exploding fiercely, briefly,
Like the head of a kitchen match. Shattered.
It is your juice
That runs down their legs. Staining their shoes.
When the earth rights itself again,
And taste tries to return to the tongue,
Your body has slammed shut. Forever.
No keys exist.
Then the window draws full upon
Your mind. There, just beyond
The sway of curtains, men walk.
Knowing something.
Going someplace.
But this time, I will simply
Stand and watch.
Maybe.

Diaphanous ~ my new Flickr group

I reworked this photo for my new group, very new indeed, I'm the only one in it, it's called Diaphanous a flickr group for photos seen shot through window screens, windows, shades, fabric, curtains,, (if car windows the focus of this group is not on car mirrors) fences, and anything related, I've not thought it out fully yet.
the original

I've been very drawn to these types of shots, I have more then a few in my archives. I'm excited about the group. Come join us, haa, right at the moment, it's just me, there isn't yet an us)
Anywho, it's incredibly close and humid here today (again), 94% humidity for that matter, and me, without access to the sea I feel like one of those folks that complains about the weather, I just really miss the seaside, and you Andy. Back online now to renew Dad's passport, hmm didn't I just do this for myself a bit ago, yeas, Oh the fun.

cham〇mile
I brought some chamomile blossoms back from Hayling Island with me on my return in 2007, seed, to plant, to seed..
They are so very tiny, it's amazing just how small they are, probably due to the crowded planter.
They were all so cute, I'couldn't decide on which to remove.
It's raining again, day 7 since that 747 took my honey away, we dream of a "real" freedom, of being able to come and go as we please, but the world is a different place than what it once was.
Oh btw, anyone know what has happened to blogger, jeez first it's youtube, I guess we are no longer able to log in our YT account, I found I must use
my gmil account and aren't I glad I have one, now this new out-a the blue change to the blogger "design".. somethings are best left allow Goggle!
{okay, truth be told, I've come to really like the new blogger designs}

You have to look with the heart ..

The rain has stopped still the sun is covered, I needed an archive to remind me the sun does & will eventually shine down on us once again..
Everything needs tending, from garden (if one would call it that) to roof to the belly of the basement, I'm tired of the sand castles, it feels like that, fix it so a wave can come and sweep it away from me...

"People where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for...
"They don't find it," I answered.
"And yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water..."
"Of course," I answered.
And the little prince added, "But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart." "
